Job Description:

As validation engineer you are a member of a cross-functional and cross-cultural product development team and you are responsible for the bench validation of new DCDC converters. In close collaboration with teams of circuit design, test and system engineering, you define the validation strategy to check out the behavior within and beyond all specified conditions. You are responsible for designing, developing and implementing accurate methods for measuring device performance while troubleshooting with circuit evaluation boards, equipment and device issues. You will design test fixtures and integrate available equipment as needed to provide capability to fully characterize devices to their specifications. With the help of standardized practices and procedures you prepare software to automate measurements, analyze resulting data and prepare reports. As a consequence of your experiences you help to further improve our validation process to be more efficient.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Clear understanding of passive components such as resistors, capacitors, inductors and diodes
• Skills in analog circuitry and feedback control systems
• Profound knowledge of DCDC converters architectures
• Solid knowledge with bench level test equipment (i. e. DC power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes)
• Solid knowledge of PCB layout and board design
• Proficient user of National Instruments LabView software
• Experience with Spotfire, Matlab and/or other programming skills are required
• Very good oral and written communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Broad experiences in analog measurement techniques and silicon characterization
• Knowledge of semiconductor physics and advanced analog circuits, preferably in the power management area
• Broad experience with Lab automation in LabView / TestStand (NI certified are preferred)
