Product Manager (m/f) LOCATION: The successful candidate will have his base office in Jena, Germany. REPORTS TO: CEO

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager to serve as a key contributor of the overall commercialization effort for cardiac occlusion devices and structural heart diseases; providing guidance and support on related product development activities (defining requirements), market development activities, collaboration with global sales/marketing teams and Key Opinion leaders. This position has the responsibility of leading early phase product planning activities including business justification, executing and managing implementation of commercial strategies and development and execution of product commercialization plans. The successful candidates will be regarded as technical expert related to assigned product(s)/product lines, with broad knowledge of related fields. Applicants must be fluent in written and spoken English.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develops analysis around the competitive environment and clearly defines product positioning, key issues, strategies, and target audiences for assigned product(s)/product lines
• Collaborates with marketing colleagues on integrated marketing business plan deliverables for assigned programs and to shape customer requirements
• Collaborates closely with R&D to conceptually design new products
• Works with marketing communications to support development of launch materials, product literature, and any other collateral material required to support sales and key marketing messages
• Develops product marketing bulletins on new and current products. Provides communication to sales team on market released products
• Conducts product overviews for physician and sales reps
• Creates business plans, presents product and marketing plans to internal management
• Drives market development activities through establishment of best practices and development of tools to raise awareness of the benefits of assigned product(s)/product lines
• Builds strong relationships with global teams to ensure successful launch of new sites / new products and collaborates to ensure launch of new sales enablement tools and collaborate to ensure launch of new sales enablement tools
• Collects market release survey data and shares results regularly with management
• Builds strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders around the world
• Complies with Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Maintains positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities, on occasion, as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant university degree
• Four or more years progressively responsible marketing experience
• Experience working with complex product portfolios in the medical device industry, ideally in cardiology
• Experience with strategic product planning and commercial execution
• Developed leadership skills / experience, including the ability to map task interdependencies, prioritize such tasks, and develop, monitor and live within budgets as well as the demonstrated ability to forecast major milestones
• Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment
• Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
• Multitasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail
• Ability to travel up to 30%, including internationally
• Excellent written and spoken English
