The Low-Power DC / DC group in Freising, Germany is looking for a highly motivated IC Layout Engineer to develop high-efficiency, cost-sensitive low-power DC / DC Switched Mode Power Supplies. Responsibilities may include:
Job Description: Layout generation for high-efficiency, cost-sensitive, competitive low-power DC/DC switched mode power supplies for the PC, personal electronics and industrial market amongst others.
Apart from block- and top-level layout generation this includes the following tasks:
• Size optimized floor planning including pinout
• Power transistor layout
• Accurate die size estimation
• Floorplan integration into IC lead frame
• Parasitic extraction
• Running Design Rule Checks and Layout vs Schematic verification
• Execution of tape out process
• Close cooperation with the onsite analog design team as well as offsite program execution and packaging, in order to guarantee flawless execution on product development schedules
Qualification:
• Minimum Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar
• Familiar with analog layout techniques and digital placement / routing
• Proven experience on block and top level layout generation
• Good knowledge about IC development tools (Cadence environment, Assura LVS / DRC)
