We are seeking an experienced IT security specialist as Data Protection Officer (m/f) with primary responsibility for TI’s data privacy compliance program in the EMEA region. This position is based in Freising, Germany.

Your responsibilities:

• As Data Protection Officer (Betrieblicher Datenschutzbeauftragter), actively manage TI’s data protection / privacy compliance efforts
• Monitor organizational and technical measures to protect TI’s data assets, conduct risk assessments and support continued improvement including trainings
• Maintain register of data processing operations and liaise with local authorities as needed
• Advise on data transfers, review 3rd party engagements and associated policies
• Assess the effectiveness of IT / cybersecurity and internal controls
• Assist in the investigation and analysis of potential incidents and support remedial actions
• Partner with TI’s physical security team to perform site security audits for external collaboration engagements in EMEA

Your profile:

• University degree in computer sciences, information technology or equivalent
• CIPT, CIPP, or equivalent certifications in respect of privacy / data protection
• 7-10 years PQE, at least 3 of which as data protection officer of a multinational company
• Profound knowledge of IT security concepts: perimeter defense, data loss prevention, risk assessments and security audits
• Sound understanding of the business needs, IT systems and operations of a global company and ability to align privacy and security requirements with business strategy
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and German
• Target driven and result focused with a systematic approach
