Important areas of responsibility:

Responsible for the adherence and full compliance with the European and German airfreight security requirements
Analysis and improvement of the existing logistic processes
Optimize supplier management of the logistics providers
Analysis and reduction of freight cost
Documentation maintenance of policies, procedures, and processes for site export / import operations
Close work relationship with the EMEA Trade Compliance manager
Effective relationships with all involved parties in the logistics process
Responsible for the adherence of all Customs related regulations for imports and exports as well as for Customs audits

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors level degree or similar and above in International Trade / Indirect Tax
Several years of experience in national and international logistics
Sound knowledge of the customs regulations in Germany and Europe
Graduate/post graduate qualification required
SAP knowledge
Fluent in German and English; knowledge in additional European languages appreciated

Strong communication skills (verbal, writing and presentation)
Able to influence others by providing clear and logical guidance and instructions
Set guidelines and assure adherence of these guidelines
Ability to understand complex business scenarios and regulations
